magerleagues.com

it’s been a while.the name “mager leagues” was first spoken by todd mecaughy and matt yates on a high school marching band trip to orlando. somewhere along the 22-hour bus ride from downingtown, pa. to disney world, the name was solidified.

i was riding in the signature three-seat carriage in the back of a kraft’s coach bus alongside katie shute and pam dibonas, the “original mlbs”.

we had a lot of fun on that bus ride. i can honestly say that high school band trips are better than college ones.anyway, when i came to virginia tech, i started magerleagues.com. i even wrote an about page. back then, the purpose of magerleagues.com was for me to experiment online. in the early 21st century, the internet was still being defined, as it is today.i used to upload exclusive hip-hop singles, and provide random banter about topics that interested me. i once surveyed all of my buddies on their definition of love. more on that later ;)another section of the old magerleagues.com was shoutouts. every few days, i would write a little blurb about someone special in my life. i dunno how people felt about it, but i am not sure if i will continue that tradition today.haha, i even had a section where i would review music. click these links now, because i don’t know how long archive.org will be around. maybe i should save these pages.where am i going with all this? once i stopped caring about magerleagues.com, i let the domain expire. NOT A GOOD IDEA. if you own any domain names, please do not let them expire. cybersquatting is deadly. someone snatched up the expired ml.com, and offered to sell it to me for $850. i completely gave up on the idea that i would get this website back.luckily, the other day, i decided to check and see if it was available. and obviously it was. that was the best $10 i ever spent ;)this is not my personal blog. it is more of a media experiment. i take a lot of pictures (over 40,000 on this computer), and i listen to a lot of music (too many gigs to mention). i figured i can provide at least one picture and one photo everyday.the songs and the photos may relate to each other, but ya never know. okay now, that i’ve bored you to death, i better get started.enjoy the site. here is my real blog though: andrewmager.com.
